Review: OUT OF PLAY by Nyrae Dawn & Jolene Perry

Welcome to my review for
OUT OF PLAY by Nyrae Dawn & Jolene Perry :) !

Rock star drummer Bishop Riley just needs a few months to relax and detox before his band's next tour. But the last place he expected to do it is in Seldon, Alaska. And the last person he wants to do it with is Penny Jones.

Fiery, headstrong Penny has zero in common with the cocky, too-hot-for-his-own-good Bishop, and she'd like to keep it that way. But the more Bishop gets under her skin, the more she wants to let him in. And the more Penny lets him see, the more Bishop wants to know this stubborn girl with the killer body and soulful eyes.

The simmering heat between them won't go away, no matter how hard either of them tries. Their time together in Alaska may be running out—but so is their resolve for not taking a chance on love.

REVIEW
** I received a copy in exchange of an honest review **

That moment when you dust an old book -not that old. The first time I read this book -back in 2013- I was so fascinated by it, and have the chance of reread it? It was as good as three years ago. Both authors are pretty well-known so I'm not going to introduce them.

In that time it was a fresh, nice read. And reading it now, it was a fantastic contrast between what I remember from the first time and what I felt this time, you know? The character were different in almost every sense but at the same time they had something in common that made the whole book an enjoyable time. Bishop's problems and how he has to confront them -with and without help from others. The chance to see how he grew. And Penny, that girl was still as intelligent and determined as I remembered, she's not the typical female character, she knows what she wants and she knows that sometimes you have to make hard decisions. Also, we have the secondary characters, for example Gramps -I completely adored him.

Overall, it was a good, quick read, and I really enjoyed reading it. I liked Bishop's story -again. And how they had to work to have their "HEA" with all the drama, misunderstanding and self-discovery.
