#BookTag #2 | Conociéndonos 😉

December 27, 2016, 21 Comments | Comentarios

Si o no ¿cuál?

4. ¿Libro digital o en papel?
5. ¿Prefieres leer de día o de noche? ¿Por qué?
6. ¿Personaje literario favorito?
7. ¿A qué libro le cambiarías el final? ¿Por qué?
8. ¿Qué libro has leído más veces?
9. ¿Cómo eliges tu próxima lectura?
11. ¿Chico malo o bueno?

Happy Bookmas!

December 17, 2016, 2 Comments | Comentarios

🎅🎄 Happy holidays | bookmas | to everyone! 🎄🎅

I know I have been missed a lot in the past weeks, but every effort has its reward and now I have the next two months completely free-college which means there would be amazing new things! Plus, summer is here and I hate going out when it is too hot, so what is better than staying inside (where is colder) reading something? Nada.

What is coming... ♡
1. Giveaways (there would be little as well as big ones)
2. Reviews (books I have read, I am reading, and I will be reading)
3. Más español por estos lados (I know it is not relevant, but I have to put it somewhere for me to actually do it)
4. New #tips (there are a few in Spanish)
5. Free posts (I will be writing whatever comes to my mind and think would be relevant for everyone)
Etc.
Between Books wishes you all a very happy holidays!

What would you do if everything you thought to be true in your life were a lie?

The revelations he uncovers to her about a danger that threatens to resurface from a past she never knew was her own, changes everything. Life as she knows it will never be the same again. In order to keep her family safe, she has no choice but to trust Zander, despite his connection to her enemy. He’s the only resource she has if she ever expects to understand the true reality of who and what she is. However, things become complicated when neither can ignore the magnetic energy between them. As their relationship and feelings deepen, so do the risks involved. She must now accept her fate, Even if that means giving up everything she knows, including being human.

Review:

Promising concept! Oleah, half lion, half human. I am an advent supernatural reader as well as young adult. And the concept of the book had me! I was very interested in reading the novel. When reading this book I was very pleased about the origins of the characters. I found the main character Angel to be a little naive and obvious. The romantic connection between Zander and her was okay. The pace of the novel was fast paced, perfect for this novel because it contained a lot of information. The one thing I didn't like was some of the dialogue. Sixteen-year-old that I know don't use certain terms. But all in all,  it was a cool read.

Michelle JohnsonThroughout my childhood, I was always told I had a very creative imagination. I was drawn to stories of mythical creatures and all things that would usually give my peers the heebie geebies. Shows like Tales from the Crypt Keeper and Buffy the Vampire Slayer were among some of my favorites.

I developed a strong passion for design and illustration, drawing the ideas that arose in my head and finding great excitement in bringing them to life. This led me to pursue a career in graphic design and marketing so that I could always use my creativity to the fullest.

I have always loved reading and the way a compelling story would allow my mind to absorb its detailed imagery. I began to use writing as a tool to bring my creative thoughts to fruition one day, which has brought me to this moment.

I'm a romantic at heart and a sucker for stories about true love which is reflected in my writing and helped bring the Oleah Chronicles to life. I hope you enjoy my first book and through it you experience the eccentric vision that began in my mind so long ago

Review: If I had to use one word to describe this book it would be WOW! this was a great read. Tiera Rice has outdone herself. Her interpretation of the vampire culture is very original. And I do know vampire culture! I'm a die hard vampire fan and when I heard of this book I had to read it. I love the historic vibe the book gives. Ms.Rice did an excellent job with the time period jumps and did not confuse me. The book has an excellent flow. The plot is solid and the character is well developed. This book gives female readers a bad ass female to look up to. I recommend this book to all my readers and followers!!! And I look forward to the next installment.

A Time To Reap,The Legend Of Carter Gabel By : Jonas Lee

~I received a copy for an honest review. ~
Paperback250 pages

A Time to Reap (The Legend of Carter Gabel, #1)
Pemberton Academy is not just a school, it’s a gathering place for the children of the future that are afflicted with Temporal Displacement and Telepathy; in short, time travelers and mind readers who have been diagnosed with this “disease.” The Academy is not all as it seems after an explosion nearly takes one of its classmates, but not before Carter Gabel rescues her by using an unknown symptom related to his described illness. An unsanctioned group called the Program begins taking notice as the two classmates exhibit stronger abilities when they are together. Carter's sense of reality begins to unwind as he learns more about his estranged father's involvement with it all.

Carter will have to overcome the past of his father leaving, the present of an unknown adversary hunting him down and a future that seems to change with each decision he makes. He will have to learn who to trust out of the people in his life if he wants to conquer the looming notion that the government may be hunting him down because of his developing abilities.

Review: When I first ran across this novel I was immediately interested. The cover is beautifully detailed and creative. This was my first time reading a time travel novel and am glad that it's my first, it left high standards in my mind. This book is very creative and interesting ! the characters are fresh and unique. I really enjoyed that the novel contained loads of details and is fasted paced. My favorite character has to be Carter, he is such a brave and caring person and you can see this with his relationship with Mo. At first, I thought their relationship developed really fast, but it works. All in all Mr. Lee has done an outstanding job! I totally recommend this book to people who enjoy time travel, romance, and action.

Writing out of the Black Hills of South Dakota, Jonas likes coming up with new and creative worlds that speak to the plausible while remaining believable. With a fist-full of peanut M&Ms and a cup of coffee, he has written two novels about a snarky, supernatural teen able to time travel and more.

Beyond writing, Jonas has a gift for useless knowledge through watching trivia shows and a love for cinematic adventures. Music fuels his writing and you can see him actively on Spotify almost every day.

Oh, and let's not forget video games...he likes those too much if there is such a thing.
